…the light directs…

The word of God is life and light (and which is at the same time: Jesus)…stay in it..it will wash your feet, light your path and unblind your eyes.

Psalm 119: 105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Matthew 6: 22 – 23

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

John 1: 4

John remarked about Jesus – “Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone”.

Psalm 36: 9

For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

Matthew 5: 14 [Jesus says to his disciples]

“You are the light of the world – A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden”

Psalm 27: 1

The Lord is my light and my salvation..whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life..of whom shall I be afraid?

The statutes of the Lord are right rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure enlightening the eyes;

Psalm 43: 3

Proverbs 4:18…19 (At first, we don’t see much but it gets brighter) But the path of the just is like the shining sun; That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Proverbs 6:23

For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

1 John 5: 12

He who has the son has life; he who does not have the son does not have life.

John 8: 12, Jesus says, “I am the light of the world, if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Ephesians 5: 25 – 26

“…Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that he might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.”

Later on in Ephesians 6:15, it says, “having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace”.

John 13: 1 – 17: Jesus washes his disciples feet.

Let us keep our feet washed by the word and stay sanctified and cleansed {Ephesians 5:26} by this word {Psalm 36:9}. There is always water [word] available for washing [after all,it’s a fountain]. This word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path {Psalm 199:105} but to walk freely with Him (who walks before us and guides us), we have to continue to allow his light to ‘unblind our eyes’ {Psalm 19:8} by obeying his commandments. the key to blessing lies in doing, not just knowing. After Jesus washed the disciples feet, before he was crucified, he said to them, “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them” {he had just told them to follow his example}. Let us allow his light to flood in to our hearts that we may see the path that he has illuminated before each one of us. Along the way, at first we don’t see much but it gets brighter [Proverbs 4: 18  – 19] {as we grow in wisdom and trustful abiding in Him}.

The word of God is life and light (and which is at the same time: Jesus)…stay in it..it will wash your feet, light your path and unblind your eyes.
